PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE OF CONSIDERATION OF ORGANIZED RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE COLLECTION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Clear Lake, Minnesota, is considering the implementation of an organized residential solid waste collection system within the City pursuant to Minnesota Statutes § 115A.94.

Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes § 115A.94, subdivision 4d, the City is providing notice to the public and to all licensed solid waste collectors serving the City of Clear Lake of the City's consideration of organized residential solid waste collection.

Following this notice, the City will provide a period of at least 60 days during which the City and licensed solid waste collectors may meet and negotiate regarding a proposal for organized collection.

Prior to the exclusive negotiation period, participating licensed collectors and City elected officials will meet and confer regarding solid waste collection issues as required by Minnesota Statutes § 115A.94, subdivision 4e.

Licensed solid waste collectors interested in participating in this process should contact the City of Clear Lake.

This notice does not constitute final approval or implementation of organized collection. Any final decision to implement organized collection will be made by the Clear Lake City Council following completion of the procedures required by Minnesota Statutes § 115A.94, including required public notice and public hearing.
